Big Girl Bras. Biggerbras.com buyer beware.
Just don't buy from them. Every woman knows how great it is to find the perfect bra. I thought I found a place to find one. Well, I did some shopping, added two bras to my basket and checked out. Then I patiently sat and waited. After a few weeks, I emailed the company because I hadn't received anything. They responded by telling me that just got half of the shipment in and it was on it's way. Great! So I thought. I got the bra and it did nothing for my breast! Ok, that happens. I waited for the next one. And waited, and waited. Here is it over two months later and more than three emails to them asking for an update, ETA or a refund and NADA! Nothing back in response! They took my cash and ran. Every big breasted lady know how expense a bra can run. When you shell out a lot of cash for a product you expect it to reform and the company to stand by it. This place has done none of the two.
So buyer beware! Do you shopping elsewhere. This place will rip you off. Such a nice thing to do this time of the year too. I hope they get what is coming to them.

Studies of the Heart
This past weekend I spend with my wonderful Thai Yoga Instructor, Michael Sitzer learning some therapeutic modalities of Thai Yoga. While listening to his heavenly voice, Michael mentioned a study that had been done out of the Institute of Hearth Math in Boulder Creek, California. This study is how emotions can change your DNA. Now, I've read several books about how thought can be used for various things to include Dr. Emoto's book, "The Hidden Messages in Water". To further the research, a summary of many studies of how thought and emotion can change your DNA was released in the winter of 2012 the Institute of Hearth Math.
During Micheal's lecture, he had us do a practical by placing our right hand over our heart and then focusing on finding our heart beat. It had been a while since I've actually done this. To feel my own heart beat against the palm of my hand was life affirming. I know, sounds corny. But, as long as my heart beats, I have life in me. Heat resonates from within and goes outward. What I choose to imbed in that heat is totally up to me. I have absolute control. I can put love into that heat so those who come into contact with me will feel the warmth, love and feel safe. Or can put forth feelings of anger and pain then watch those who once stood near me shiver and take a step back, subconsciously!
Know, how I can affect others by simple thought patterns is thrilling. But, learning how it also affect my own being is even more profound. I have within me the ability to let every cell in my body vibrate in complete joy! Talk about total bliss. Or for those who don't quite get that phrase, maybe a complete mental and full body after orgasm affect will make sense to you. YEAH, talk about the WOW factor! Best part of this is you can do this without a partner, in public, all day and watch others join in, all without going to jail! Good stuff! Just to name a few benefits, stress reduction and better sleep are the two most needed in our society. What are you waiting for? Practice makes perfect and this practice takes a life time!
Happy Holidays!

Healthy Fit Group 1st series comes to an end.
Sitting in my small living room as I watch the leaves fall from the trees, I began to think about the day ahead of me. I took a peek at my schedule, there within lies a secret I had wrote eight weeks ago. I had excitement bubbling in me and delight gleamed from my eyes as I envisioned today as I wrote down the passage in my calendar. It simply stated, "Healthy Fit Graduation". It was surrounded with stars and swirls to impersonate fireworks and the like. I seen into the future, three people that had walked into La Vida Yoga and Body Works studio and over the eight weeks where mentally and physically transformed into more enlightened and more fit beings with smiles on their sweaty faces.
I've watched them grow in leaps and bounds. I've watched them stumble, dust off and get up again. They've carried one another and held the others accountable. Everything I have envisioned, they've achieved. But, a tinge of sadness has crept in a little corner of my mind. As with all good things, an end must come. With birth comes life, then death. It's a guarantee! I'm left wondering, if this first group will adhere to their personal promises to keep up with the 2nd series, the other classes offered or even worked out on a regular basis at home or a gym. They've done so well. I would hate to hear that the old disease, I call Laziness has come back and all they've worked so hard for has been undone.
As the story goes. . . With birth come life, then death. But, only to make room for new life. With the ending of the 1st series comes the birth of the 2nd, Monday evening in the week to follow. And with that group comes the bubbling excitement and delight of things to come, like a child waiting for Santa to arrive as s/he lies in bed with eyes sealed tightly shut (with the exception of peeking when noises are heard) on the eve before Christmas morning.

Yesterday I Cried
I came home, went straight to my room,
sat on the edge of my bed,
kicked off my shoes,
unhooked my bra,
and I had myself a good cry.
I'm telling you,
I cried until my nose was running all over
the silk blouse I got on sale.
I cried until my ears were hot.
I cried until my head was hurting so bad
that I could hardly see the pile of
soiled tissues lying on the floor at my feet.
I want you to understand,
I had myself a really good cry yesterday.
Yesterday, I cried,
for all the days that I was too busy,
or too tired,
or too mad to cry.
I cried for all the days, and all the ways,
and all the times I had dishonored,
disrespected, and
disconnected my Self from myself,
only to have it reflected back to me
in the ways others did to me
the same things I had already done to myself.
I cried for all the things I had given,
only to have them stolen;
for all the things I had asked for that
had yet to show up;
for all the things I had accomplished,
only to give them away,
to people in circumstances,
which left me feeling empty,
and battered and plain old used.
I cried because there really does
come a time when the only thing left
for you to do is cry.
Yesterday, I cried.
I cried because little boys get
left by their daddies;
and little girls get forgotten by their mommies;
and daddies don't know what to do, so they leave;
and mommies get left, so they get mad.
I cried because I had a little boy,
and because I was a little girl,
and because I was a mommy
who didn't know what to do,
and because I wanted my daddy to be there
for me so badly until I ached.
Yesterday, I cried.
I cried because I hurt.
I cried because I was hurt.
I cried because hurt has no place to go
except deeper into the pain that
caused it in the first place,
and when it gets there,
the hurt wakes you up.
I cried because it was too late.
I cried because it was time.
I cried because my soul knew that I didn't know
that my soul knew everything I needed to know.
I cried a soulful cry yesterday,
and it felt so good.
It felt so very, very bad.
In the midst of my crying,
I felt my freedom coming,
Because Yesterday,
I cried with an agenda.

Recovering Cop
I've recently been labeled as a "recovering cop". I couldn't agree more. Since I left my past life career as a deputy, I have led a very different life style. But, I still find myself in "cop" mode throughout my days. I still have the horrible nightmares of bullets that don't hit the bad guy. No, those bullets come shooting out of my gun, then take a sharp turn to the left or right, mostly left.
Once, I hit the bad guy. He was beating his wife while having her bent over backwards over the kitchen counter. Her back was so bent, I swear it was going to snap. He had her by the throat with his left hand and was punching her in the face, repeatedly with the right. He had to have been about 6' 2" and built like a shit brick house. His fists were square and muscular. His veins were popping out of his forearms. She wasn't making a sound. This was the scene I walked into.
I announced my presence and ordered him to stop. Phfst! He didn't even acknowledge a cop was standing behind him. I knew I wasn't going to stop him using physical force. He would just fling me off like a fly! The only other recourse I had to save this woman, who was now limp, was to shoot him. I shot and watched the bullet hit him in the right shoulder. My only thought was, "Damn! That was a shitty shot." Well, big guy stopped hitting his wife, slowly turned his torso and head over his right shoulder to look at me. He smiled at me, turned back around and continued his face bashing party. Me: "You've got to be shitting me. This isn't good." I had no choice but to shoot again. I did. I hit that sucker dead center in the back of the head. It was all in S L O W motion. The bullet left my gun, traveled through the air, entered the back of his head leaving a little hole. It then exited his head through his forehead. The exit wound was massive. He had no forehead left. Blood brains, skin and snot was flying through the air and landed on the window above the sink and all over the kitchen cupboards. Me: "YES! I hit the SOB and ended this horror!"
I apparently, just pissed him off. He stopped bashing his wife's face, which now looked like blood pudding. He spun around toward me and turned into the incredible hulk, green and all! Mr. wife beating hulk charged at me. Me: "OH FUCK! They didn't cover this shit in the academy." I turned and ran out the door and down the never ending, spiraling stairs. I was mad at myself for being chicken shit. Then I woke up covered in sweat and out of breath. I laid in bed pondering this odd dream and came to the conclusion that I shouldn't have been mad at myself. I shot him twice, once in the brain. He should've fallen dead there and then (in the real world). Instead, he ran at me. I was only a few steps away from him as they lived in a single wide trailer. I had no choice but to run. But, I was
still mad. It was just the feeling I woke with and had to wait for the feelings to fade out so I could get back to sleep because I had to go to work in the morning . . . to chase bad guys. Hmmmm!!!

I'm not laughing at the dream, it was a terrible nightmare that I don't wish to repeat. But, I laugh at my husband jumping out of bed, half awake, totally naked and running out of the room. I couldn't get him back into the bed for two nights after that because I scared him so bad. He said he watched my head turn so I was facing my back and looking directly at him, screeching like a sea hag (yoga practitioners are flexible) and it looked like a scene from the exorcist. Of course, my Medusa do didn't make me look any prettier. I remember doing this too. I could not have scared him better if this was all planned out! I wish I had gotten it on video! He called me "Emily Rose" for months after.

That was just one of the many dreams. I won't get into the Sumo wrestler dream today. Maybe someday. You coppers out there, you all know what I'm talking about. We all have these dreams and talk about them before and after shift briefing. This thing is, they haven't stopped.

I spoke with a
dear friend and former co worker a few days ago and mentioned this to
him. He's been in the field most of his life, over 25 years now. He
said the dreams don't ever stop. I didn't tell him about the dream I had
that was so bad, it scared my husband and I had to get up and go pee or I was
going to wet the bed. I was laughing at my poor husband's facial
expressions. OMG! This dream was a few years ago and I am laughing
so hard right now!!!
